Common Problems and Solutions:

Black screen

Problem Description: It shows the black screen and the power indicator do not light up in any state;

Cause Analysis: The black screen and power indicator do not light up the phenomenon, maybe the external power supply is not accessed, or the power switch is not turned on, may also be the cable, the power board, the motherboard and other faults;

Solution:

1. Check whether the power supply (220V AC) is connected to the mains;

2. Check whether the power cord and adapter are damaged;

3. Check whether the power switch is turned on;

4. Whether the power switch is damaged;

5. Whether the indicator is bright (there are many different series of monitors, the work of the indicator also has a different colour, in the working state of green, blue, standby state of red, green distinction);

6. If the above steps continue to fail, please contact Dahua after-sales service.

Black screen without signal

Problem description: The screen is black and shows no signal connection;

Solution:

1. Check whether the device is in hibernation state;

2. Manually open the touch switch button of the device;

3. Switch the signal source (VGA/HDMI)

4. If the above steps continue to fail, please contact Dahua after-sales service.

Blue screen without signal display

Problem Description: The monitor has a blue screen and no signal;

Cause Analysis: It appears blue screen phenomenon, because there is no signal source input, it may be a signal cable failure or signal source problems;

Solution:

1. Check whether the signal cable is in good contact;
2. If the contact is good, check whether the signal source output can be connected to other monitors to compare;
3. If the signal output is normal, still no display, check whether the signal cable is bad, can replace the cable to try;
4. If the cable is not faulty, check whether the input signal is beyond the input range of the product, and adjust the refresh rate of the input source to 60Hz;
5. After checking according to the above steps, still can not be solved, please contact the Dahua after-sales service department.

Screen display abnormality

White screen

Problem Description: The monitor has a white screen;

Cause Analysis: The white screen phenomenon indicates that the backlight board is working normally, and the motherboard may be dead or other faults;

Solution: Please restart the device with power off, if the white screen still reappears, please contact Dahua after-sales service department.

Splash screen

Problem Description: Monitor VGA signal input, flashing screen phenomenon;

Cause Analysis: VGA cables, motherboards, power supplies, panels, etc. may have this problem;

Solution:

1. Replace the input source;

2. Replace the VGA cable;

3. Monitor equipment for restart;

4. After the above steps, if the fault remains, please contact the Dahua after-sales service department.

Bright line

Problem description: Bright lines appear on the monitor;

Cause Analysis: Bright lines are generally panel or motherboard, appeared bad;

Solution: 
1. Cut off the signal source, and check whether the equipment is faulty;
2. Check whether the equipment has any appearance damage, impact caused by liquid crystal leakage and other phenomena;
3. Check whether there is water, moisture and other foreign objects causing liquid crystal parts short circuit;
4. After the above steps, if the fault remains, please contact the Dahua after-sales service department.

1.1 Image jumping or rippled screen

Problem Description: The display screen jumps or ripple phenomenon;

Cause Analysis: There may be electrical equipment around the cause of electronic interference, video signal by external interference;

Solution: Close the surrounding electrical equipment, or move the monitor to another environment.

Dark or overly bright picture

Problem Description: The display screen is dark or too bright;

Cause Analysis: Brightness and contrast settings in the menu are too low or set too high;

Solution: Go to the menu to check brightness and contrast, or reset to factory settings.

Images with chromatic aberration

Problem Description: There is a display colour difference between different screens of the same model;

Cause Analysis:

1. Inappropriate colour saturation setting in the menu;

2. Inappropriate RGB colour value or colour temperature setting;

Solution:

1. Go to Menu - Image Mode - Saturation and adjust the saturation value;

2. Adjust the RGB colour or re-select the colour temperature;

3. Reset to factory setting.

No sound from the monitor with all signal sources

Problem Description: There is no sound from different source accesses on all inputs of the monitor;

Cause Analysis:

1. The device volume is not adjusted;

2. Problems with the device speaker or motherboard;

Solution:

1. Remote control volume key, or key out the volume, check whether the device volume is turned up or on;

2. Try step 1 without change, please contact the Dahua after-sales service department.

Monitor images with snowflake-like spots and noise

Problem Description: The monitor image has snowflake-like spots accompanied by noise

Cause Analysis: The appearance of snowflake-like spots is usually a result of damage to the incoming signal source;

Solution:

1. It is recommended to use HDMI interface as much as possible, you can try to use the signal booster to see if the display phenomenon is improved, or replace the signal source for troubleshooting;

2. Enter the main menu to reset the sound system.

Image without colour

Problem Description: The monitor screen is displayed in black and white;

Cause Analysis: The monitor colour setting is not saturated;

Solution: Go to Main Menu - Image Mode - Saturation and adjust the saturation value.

Blurred screen display

Problem Description: The text and pictures displayed on the monitor are blurred and not sharp enough under VGA signal source input;

Cause Analysis: The monitor is not adjusted to the optimal resolution;

Solution:

1. Enter the menu, Image Mode-Auto Adjustment, and choose the Auto Adjustment function;

2. Use the recommended mode.

Screen display image shift, dissatisfaction screen, over the screen

Problem Description: The monitor screen image is shifted, or the screen does not spread over the full screen, or the image is not displayed in its entirety

Cause Analysis:

1. The monitor in the input signal line, field frequency will change, it will be based on this signal to adjust the display window;

2. The resolution of the graphics card set by the host exceeds the maximum resolution that the display can support;

3. Problems with the ratio of the screen image;

4. Graphics card driver problems;

Solution:

1. Use the automatic adjustment function;

2. Input "PC Setting" to adjust the vertical or horizontal position;

3. Use the recommended mode.

Excessive temperature of equipment

Problem Description: The monitor body is overheating and the temperature is too high;

Cause Analysis:

1. Failure of the monitor's cooling fan;

2. Poor ventilation of the monitor;

Solution:

1. Check whether the cooling fan is running normally;

2. Please pay attention to keeping the heat dissipation port when installing and the environment is well-ventilated.

Screen display missing colour

Problem Description: The monitor screen colour is partially abnormal and too dark;

Solution:

1. Replace the signal source and signal cable;

2. If the decrease in brightness affects normal use, please contact the Dahua after-sales service department.

Screen blackout

Problem Description: The monitor screen is black while the power indicator is on.

Solution:

1. Check whether the device is powered off, replace the signal source and signal line;

2. Whether the device indicator light is on (normal red/blue);

3. If the device has an external power supply, the normal power supply is DC 12V

Functional Application

Can the USB port on the monitor be used for multimedia playback and what files and file formats are supported?

F200/F400/S200/S400 series can support multimedia playback, the maximum support for 1080P resolution source, the project series of the two DHL190UX, DHL19 USB ports is only for upgrading purposes and does not support multimedia playback.

2. Compatible USB media files are video, audio, pictures and text.

The text format currently only supports .txt files.

What causes a monitor to become standby with a signal source?

The monitor adopts environmentally friendly and energy-saving technology by default:

. If there is no signal input in the power-on state, it will automatically enter the standby state after about 5 minutes;

2. If the monitor has set the sleep time, it will automatically enter the standby mode when the time comes;

Therefore, when the monitor goes into standby with a signal source, it is possible that you have set the sleep time;

Solution: Remote control or key to enter the monitor menu, press Option-Hibernation Timing, and turn off the hibernation timing.

Maintenance

How to maintain the monitor?

. Please use a clean and lint-free soft cloth to wipe the dust and other particles.
2. If it is still not clean, please apply diluted neutral cleaner without polish to a clean and lint-free soft cloth, then wipe it with a soft cloth, and dry it with a dry soft cloth after cleaning.
3. Please take care to avoid rubbing with nails or other hard objects.
4. Do not place or install the device in direct sunlight or near heat-generating equipment.
5. Do not install the device in a damp, dusty or sooty place.
6. Do not drip or splash liquids onto the equipment, and make sure that no liquid-filled objects are placed on the equipment to prevent liquids from flowing into the equipment.
7. Install the equipment in a well-ventilated place and do not block the ventilation openings of the equipment.
8. Transport, use and store the equipment within the permissible humidity and temperature range.
