How to reset device password by XML file on ConfigTool & DoLynk Care

NB: The firmware version is based on the latest version when this document was created and may slightly differ from future versions, however, this will not affect any of the functionality.

XML file is a part of Password reset method for devices like IPC, ASI, VTO.

On ConfigTool:

Step 1. Go to "Password Reset", select the device you wish to reset password and click “Reset”. Remember to keep the IP addresses of your PC and the device in the same segment.

Step 2. On the password reset pop-up, select to reset by "XML file", choose the corresponding path, and click "Next" to export the XML file.

 

On DoLynk Care:

Step 3. Go to Dolynk Website (https://care.dolynkcloud.com/) and login. Click the icon “” , select “XML Password Reset”.

Step 4. Clicek “Upload File”, follow the export path and select the exported XML file, and then click “Next”.

Step 5. Then you will be able to obtain the result XML file by clicking “Download File” or “Send to Email”.

 

On ConfigTool:

Step 6. Follow the save path and select the result XML file that needs to be imported, click "Next", then type the new password and click "Finish". After it's successfully done, you can see a green tick besides the device IP.
